Psi Delta Sigma National Sorority was founded on February 21, 1921 in the State of Illinois. Since 1948, more than 2,500 members have been initiated and forty-four chapters organized in four states: Illinois, Ohio, California and Wisconsin. 

Originally incorporated in the State of Illinois, Psi Delta Sigma was reincorporated in the State of California in 1955 as Psi Delta Sigma, Inc.  At that time, the Cancer Research Foundation, the Spastic Children’s Foundation and the Paraplegia Foundations were selected as the charities to which Psi Delta Sigma would give its total support. 

Our fund raising efforts have led to over $2,535,358.50 in total contributions since May 31, 1968.

Today, we are a social group of women dedicated to charitable purposes, celebrating over 100 years of friendships and accomplishments.

Within our organizational structure is the Psi Delta Sigma Association Grand Chapter. A single Board of Trustees serves both the social and charitable organizations: Psi Delta Sigma, Inc. and Psi Delta Sigma Association Grand Chapter.
